聖經舊約的傳道書第十一節：
The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned: but time and chance happen to them all.
快跑的未必能贏，
力戰的未必得勝；
智慧的未必得糧食,
明哲的未必得資財，
靈巧的未必得喜悅；
所臨到眾人的，是因為「時間」與「機會」。
